Question: This product is marked as “phosphates free,” but in the ingredients, it says “cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate"?
Answer: Cocamidopropyl pg-dimonium chloride phosphate is classified as a natural triglyceride phospholipids and not phosphate. Phosphate free means inorganic compounds containing phosphorous. Phosphates are compounds with phosphorus, oxygen and sometimes hydrogen. Cocamidopropyl pg-dimonium chloride phosphate is naturally derived from coconut oil and is readily biodegradable. It is certified 80% natural carbon.
